Seoul, (March 25) – Korean Air, America’s largest Asian airline, has unveiled its new lounge for Prestige and First class passengers and the twenty SkyTeam customers at Los Angeles Airport (LAX), one of the biggest gateways in the west coast of USA.
Located on the fifth floor in the Tom Bradley International Terminal of the Los Angeles Airport, the new lounge was designed by Gensler, a global integrated architecture and design firm which has contributed many innovative design projects for airport facilities around the world.
Korean Air is committed to providing service excellence both in flight and on the ground. The new 305 seat, 1,320 square-meter lounge is 68 % larger and can accommodate 135 more passengers. Furthermore, the lounge offers exclusive services for passengers, including four private lounge rooms and shower booths, a lounge balcony offering panoramic views of the entire Terminal, and a luggage depository area.
In addition, as a flagship carrier of South Korea, Korean Air has furnished a drawing of the Changdeok Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the wall of the lounge entrance, allowing passengers from all around the world to experience Korea’s traditional beauty.
Korean Air currently operates an A380 to Los Angeles twice a day. With its new premium lounge, Korean Air aims to offer the best service to their customers.
The carrier is currently adding a second A380 flight to New York in May, making it the only airline serving both U.S coasts with double daily A380 flights from Asia. Earlier this year, Korean Air has also announced a daily service to Houston starting in May.
